Backlash continues for Shankar

Director Shankar faced two consecutive big failures at the box office with Indian 2 and Game Changer. Successes and failures are common in the cinema industry. However, there has been continuous criticism of the filmmaker, especially regarding how he handled Game Changer, and the backlash continues for Shankar.

Shankar is facing continuous criticism for his bad planning

The main reason for the continuous criticism is not about the film’s content. It is widely known that the film’s content failed to impress, and everyone moved on from that. But one surprising thing to everyone is the way he removed many scenes from the film and wasted crores of money.

Brahmanandam and Priyadarshi’s scenes were removed from Game Changer

Recently, in Brahma Anandam promotions, Brahmanandam said he had shot for a lot of days for the film, but most of the scenes were removed during the editing. Now, in Court promotions, actor Priyadarshi also said that he gave 25 days for the film’s shoot and appeared only for one shot in the film, and all his other scenes were removed.

It looks like the removed footage from Game Changer is almost equal to the entire runtime of a film. This is nothing but just a waste of crores of money. Definitely, success or failure is in no one’s hands, but what is needed for a film and what does not have to be decided by the director before going to the shooting itself.

Shankar failed to make Indian 2 and Game Changer with Perfect Making

After going to the sets, making many scenes and footage for more than 5 hours, and again trimming half of the film, it means the wastage will be more than 100 crores for a star film. This is the reason for the producer going into a big deficit position for this film.

Over budget is a concern for Shankar’s Indian 2 and Game Changer

If a star film is rightly planned and completed within the budget, then irrespective of any result, the movie will be in the profit zone for the producer. Indian 2 was initially planned with a 250 Cr budget, and Game Changer was planned with around a 300 Cr budget.

If Shankar had completed the film with the same budget, he would not have received this range of criticism even with the same results. But, because of his bad planning, the backlash continues for Shankar.
