On the occasion of Superstar Rajinikanth’s 72nd birthday, they re-released the film Baba, which was a flop 20 years ago. But it so happened that they delivered the film with high hopes, and now the film has completed its one-week run on the second release.
The film Baba, which was screened with among massive craze around rajini fans, unfortunately got caught in the rain’s storm. Tamil Nadu saw heavy cyclone while we saw the effect of the same in the Telugu states too.
As a result, many people did not show up out of their houses and Rajini fans could not enter to the theaters. This affected Baba numbers and the film took a massive hit in the collections.
The 1st week gross of Baba re release is around 2.25 Crores and Pawan Kalyan’s Jalsa gross is around 3 crores, which means Jalsa still holds the re release collections record.
Baba re-release was done with a lot of dedication from the film’s team, few scenes were trimmed and climax was also altered.
Rajinikanth even dubbed freshly for the voice-over at the starting of the film. The audience liked all these changes and felt that if the new climax was adjusted at the original release time, Baba would have been a successful film.
