Avatar 3 was simultaneously shot with Avatar 2 and post-production is on. It is on target for Dec. 19th 2025 release. Avatar 4 movies’ story and characters have jumped ahead by 6 years, and it will be released on Dec. 21st, 2029. Avatar 5’s story moves to earth, and the film will be released on December 19th, 2031.
Made as a sequel to 2009’s Avatar, Avatar 2 was recently became the all-time highest grosser, bringing James Cameron, the top director in the movie world, to the fore. Avatar remains the highest-grossing film in the world, but Avatar 2 managed to climb to third place by bringing in $2.3 billion.
At first, Avatar 2 received mixed reviews, but when people watched it on the big screen, they became enthralled by the world created by James Cameron, and he confirmed that there will be sequels. James Cameron planned to release ‘Avatar 3’ in December 2025, and while working on ‘The Way of Water’, he also shot for this film.
22 Years gap between Avatar first and fifth part
Avatar 3 was supposed to be released in December 2024, but it has been postponed until December 2025. ‘Avatar 4’ will arrive in December 2029, followed by ‘Avatar 5’ in December 2031. This timeline suggests that the final film in the ‘Avatar’ series will be released 22 years after the first film, which was released in 2009.
