Leo’s second half has received mixed reactions from the audience and especially the flashback sequences have been a part of elaborate discussions and reviews from day 1. Film lovers, fans, and critics, all had their own theories regarding the flashback and this discussion has now again flared up with Lokesh Kanagaraj’s latest statements.

In his latest interview, Lokesh Kanagaraj said that the flashback is totally fake and only Vijay knows the flashback. Prior to this, DOP Manoj Paramahansa has said, “Flashback can also be false. Lokesh said we just need to show a few minutes of it, and when a stranger (Mansoor) says about that portion it maybe be fake too”. Now, the director himself has confirmed this.

People are now baffled by Lokesh Kanagaraj’s statement. He made a film, the audience watched it and felt the flashback was bad in the movie and now they are being told it is fake. If it is fake what is the need to waste the runtime? is what many are asking.

Would Lokesh and his team say the same thing if the flashback portions actually worked out? This appears to be a case of taking the audience for granted and Lokesh who usually is extremely careful with his film’s logic has kept the audience in the dark and believed he can show anything to them and later claim it’s fake.
