The ongoing tickets price issue of Andhra Pradesh has reached Parliament. Speaking on the AP government’s misgovernance, TDP MP Kanakamedala Ravidrakumar said that this is an act of personal enmity. He added that this issue was unnecessarily brought up to target Pawan Kalyan.
“The AP government is focussing on issues which are absolutely not necessary. At a time when the state is struggling, the government is passing G.Os on the movie tickets. Just around the time of the release of Pawan Kalyan’s movie last year, the government brought the tickets pricing G.O. This move stopped several films and affected investments worth crores,” the MP said.
G.Os on the ticket pricing has given the film industry quite a few sleepless nights. A number of discussions were done on the issue and both sides issued quite a few contrasting statements over the last 9 months.
Tollywood is going to witness a number of big-ticket films in the coming days. The producers and distributors are counting on them to pull them out of the lean patch brought in by lockdown. However, If this situation prevails biggies will have to struggle really hard to recover their investment.
