AP Government is playing games with Waltair Veerayya team. The unit had planned a massive Pre release event in Vizag at RK Beach Road and applied for permission long back and the event arrangements were on the way, but now it is being said that the police department has asked the unit to shift the event to A U Grounds.
The stage put up for the pre-release event of the Chiranjeevi-starrer ‘Waltair Veerayya’ at RK Beach was abolished by employees, after police withheld permission, on Friday. Thousands of fans of Megastar Chiranjeevi were supposed to attend the event on January 8.
It is understood that the police had asked the organizers to shift the event to some new place as thousands of visitors throng the Beach Road during weekends, and it could lead to traffic and law and order problems. Workers were seen removing the iron sheets and poles laid for the stage and the small tents mounted on the beach for the event.
The Police had suggested that the Andhra University grounds were a suitable alternative as there was substantial space for parking of vehicles. The organizers are reported to have agreed with the police, and are preparing arrangements for construction of the stage for the pre-release event at the AU grounds.
But if we look at the event organisers situation, it would be very difficult for them to make changes and plans at such a short notice.
Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya is the second big film to arrive this Sankranthi season. Directed by Bobby, the movie has also Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja in an important role and Shruthi Haasan as female lead.
