Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming project with Nelson Dileepkumar has got massive hype from the time it was announced. Rajinikanth 169 had an exciting cast in the form of Ramya Krishna, Aishwarya Rai and Priyanka Arul Mohan join the cast. It is rumoured that Priyanka will play Rajinikanth’s daughter in this one.
This will be the second time Nelson Dileepkumar will collaborate with Priyanka Arul Mohan. The two worked together on Nelson’s 2021 blockbuster ‘Doctor’.
However, there are some last-minute changes being made to this star cast. It is being reported that Nadiya will be replacing Ramya Krishna in this prestigious project. The movie is expected to go on sets by August and the makers Sun Pictures are planning for a summer release in 2023.
Nelson desperately needs a solid hit to his credit after his much-awaited film Beast with Vijay flopped. Even Superstar Rajinikanth is in search of a blockbuster in order to re-establish his supremacy at the Tamil box office.
His last two movies, Darbar and Annaathe have also been disasters at the box office. Annaathe failed to get a decent number overseas as well as in the Telugu states.
