By today’s end, the film Animal will cross 800Cr Gross worldwide. In India, the film will cross 500Cr net [All versions]. The bookings for the weekend look excellent, and this will be the last best weekend for the movie as two big new films, Dunki and Salaar, will be released next week, so most of the theatres will replace Animal with those two films.
At first, the film was expected to cross the 1000Cr mark worldwide, but now this looks impossible, and the film is likely to close to around 900Cr. Nevertheless, Animal will achieve two big milestones at the box office today.
The reason the film fell short at 1000Cr is that Animal’s Tamil version did not make big numbers. The Telugu version also did not perform well, like Jailer. In terms of overseas performance, in the Gulf and European countries, Animal has underperformed.
