The change in Andhra Pradesh government has now shifted the power dynamics and state’s relations with Tollywood. The landslide victory of the TDP-JSP alliance has led to a shift in the political landscape and some changes are expected to happen in the movie industry functioning as well. One of the main changes that will come is regarding these events.
Tollywood faced quite a few hurdles in the last government’s rule. Ticket pricing G.O.s were one of the main issues that plagued Tollywood rights after the pandemic. There were many rounds of discussions and deliberations between Tollywood representatives and AP Government to no avail.
However, it seems that the tides have changed and the soured relationship between the Andhra Pradesh Government and Tollywood is going to change. In one such development, AP Cinematography Minister, Kandula Durgesh met Megastar Chiranjeevi and promised to resolve issues faced by the Film Industry in the State.
This is a welcome development and with Janasena Party being at helm of affairs in the state in coalition with TDP and holding key positions, we can surely expect better days ahead for the film industry.
