Ram Pothineni’s Andhra King Taluka, also starring Bhagyashree Borse and Upendra in key roles, has gathered an average start at the box office on day 1. The film is expected to have a proper long run in the theaters.
Because of its genre, the film opened with very low numbers in the initial shows in India but was picked up show by show. Overall, Andhra King Taluka had an average opening in India on day 1 and a record opening for Ram in overseas markets.
The Day 1 early estimates are around 7.5 Cr gross worldwide, with 5 Cr in India and 2.5 Cr from overseas. It now needs to show growth in numbers from today in India.
Moreover, the Thursday release has affected the film’s opening , but the trend is expected to see a jump over the weekend as the word of mouth and reviews are very positive.
To achieve the breakeven, the film needs to collect 50 Cr gross worldwide, and for this, the film has to take a jump in collections from today.
