AA22, the Allu Arjun–Atlee film, is one of the biggest-budget Indian films ever and the most expensive project to be produced by a Kollywood banner, Sun Pictures. The film involves multiple worlds, extensive CGI work, Hollywood technicians, and a massive star cast.
Initially, the film was planned for a December 2026 release. But due to delays in production work, it was pushed to the first half of 2027. Now, it is said to be moving to the second half of 2027, with chances of even releasing towards the end of 2027. Since the film requires massive CGI work, delays are quite common.
This commonly happens with big-scale films, as post-production takes a significant amount of time, and as said above, AA22 is one of the biggest-budget Indian films, so such delays are expected.
AA22 Release Delayed – Allu Arjun to Work with Lokesh Kanagaraj in the Meantime
Due to the delay, Allu Arjun is not waiting for the film’s release and has already signed his next project with Lokesh Kanagaraj. After finishing the Atlee film’s shoot, the Pushpa 2 actor will immediately begin working on Lokesh Kanagaraj’s project. Atlee and his team will be occupied with post-production during this time.
Though fans may have to wait a bit longer to see Allu Arjun on the big screen, he is planning things smartly to ensure minimal gap between his next two releases. The Lokesh Kanagaraj film is expected to hit the screens in 2028.
