Prabhas’ Salaar is creating waves before its release and there’s great interest in its theatrical rights. The film is all set to create great records with its pre-release business and there’s a massive demand for it domestically as well as in overseas. With the level of interest in the trade circles, it appears like Salaar will cross RRR in several areas.
RRR overseas rights were bought for 78Cr which is a recorded deal for Indian cinema. And now, the Salaar rights are expected to break this record by a comfortable margin. Salaar overseas rights are said to be sold at 90Cr. The main reason for the craze is the combination of the KGF director and Baahubali hero which is a massive advantage factor for any language.
The makers are quoting a 200Cr ratio for Telugu states which is a massive number. No other film excluding RRR has collected more than 200Cr share in Telugu states and it needs to be seen if Salaar can achieve this figure.
Salaar is in the final stages of shooting and the promotions of this Prashanth Neel film are expected to start in a couple of weeks. The film stars Shruti Haasan, Jagapathy Babu, Prithviraj Sukumaran, and Easwari Rao in key roles.
