On Thursday, the Jury will hold a press conference at the National Media Center, New Delhi to announce the 69th National Film Awards. Though The official announcement is awaited and many names from the different film industries in the Indian Cinema are being circulated as everyone cannot suppress their excitement. RRR, Pushpa, The Kashmir Files, Pushpa The Rise and Gangubai Kathiawadi films names are mainly making the noise.
Alia Bhatt and Kangana Ranaut’s names are being widely shared on social media as potential candidates for Best Actress for ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’ and ‘Thalaivi’ respectively this year. R Madhavan’s performance in “Rocketry: The Nambi Effect” Joju George for the Malayalam film ‘Nayattu” Allu Arjun for”Pushpa The Rise” are among the contenders for the best actor award.
Last year, the Best Actor award for 2020 was divided between Suriya for ‘Soorarai Pottru’ and Ajay Devgn for the Hindi film ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior.
Also, everyone is eagerly waiting to see how many awards will the Rajamouli’s action epic, RRR will gather. Though the film was released in 2022, the Censor was done in the year 2021, which makes it eligible for the national award contention. Let’s see what surprises does the jury have for us.
