Alia Bhatt’s recent Bollywood biographical drama Gangubai Kathiawadi is all set to make its way to OTT soon. The film will stream on Netflix from April 26th in Hindi and Telugu.
The film is based on life of Ganga Harjivandas who elopes to Mumbai with her lover with a dream of becoming a film actress. Much to her shock she is sold to a brothel and is forced into prostitution. How she rises from that position and becomes a force to reckon with is what the movie follows.
Netflix India took to Twitter and updated fans who are eagerly waiting to catch Alia on the small screen yet again. The OTT giant shared a video glimpse of the actress from Gangubai Kathiawadi. “Dekho, dekho chaand Netflix pe aaraha hai Gangubai Kathiawadi arrives on April 26th,” shared the OTT giant.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali has directed this Bollywood big-budget production while Sanchit Balhara composed the music for the film. It also stars Ajay Devgn, Vijay Raaz and Shantanu Maheshwari among others.
