Dil Raju’s production Varisu is releasing for Sankranti 2023 and the movie has already attracted quite a lot of negativity in Telugu states due to theatres occupancy issues. The Telugu Film Producer’s Council issued a statement saying Dil Raju should follow his own statement that he made back in 2019 and priority must be given to Telugu films.
Now, the ace producer has found himself in another controversy after his recent statement on Vijay and Ajith. The stars are the biggest names in the Kollywood film industry and there has been a race to the no.1 spot between the two stars for almost 2 decades. While fans have continuously fought over who’s the bigger star of the two, industry insiders always kept a diplomatic silence on the issue.
Dil Raju, who is working with Vijay on Varisu has now broken this norm and directly declared that Vijay is in fact a bigger star with more market value than Ajith. This statement by the producer has angered the massive fan base of Ajith who have been lashing out on social media through trolls and angry tweets.
Interestingly, Vijay’s Varisu will clash with Ajith’s Thunivu for Sankranti 2023. Both Ajith and Vijay share a cordial relationship off-screen. And this statement has unnecessarily created negativity for Vijay’s Varisu.
