Ajith and Vijay are two of Kollywood’s biggest stars at the moment. While Vijay has had a comparatively better box-office record and bigger grossers of late, Ajith’s ability to give big openings and pull crowds with average scripts makes him a bonafide star. Throughout the last 2 and half decades Ajith and Vijay have clashed several times, the most recent being last year’s Pongal release Varisu vs Thunivu.
While this year they won’t be clashing, there’s a common factor for both Vijay and Ajith’s upcoming releases. Both their films will release around their birthdays. Ajith’s next film is Vidaa Muyarchi which is an action film planned to release on May 1st which also happens to be his birthday.
Vijay’s birthday falls on June 22nd and he will be next seen in Venkat Prabhu’s time-traveling thriller- GOAT. Venkat Prabhu and the team are planning to release this film around June end. GOAt features an ensemble cast including Vijay, Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal, and Meenakshi Choudhary among others.
Ajith’s Vidaa Muyarchi also stars Arjun Sarja, Trisha, Regina Cassandra and Arav in key roles and is written and directed by Magizh Thirumeni. The film’s shoot is going on in Azerbaijan.
So this time, the birthdays of both Thala and Thalapathy are going to be filled with double celebrations.
