It is very clear from the teaser that the film has been made on a huge budget and it is crucial for the film to perform well in all languages to be deemed a hit. The movie is releasing in Hindi, Tamil, Kannada as well as in Malayalam.
The makers of Agent are currently looking at a potential Christmas release for the film. However strong the buzz for Agent is, the question that remains is whether Agent can compete with Avatar: The Way of Water at the box office.
Agent is no doubt a crazy film but if there is one movie that is crazier, it is Avatar. The second installment of the Avatar series has a lot of hype riding on it and if it gets positive talk from audiences, Agent might struggle to compete.
It is not easy to bring the audiences in all languages as their preference would definitely be Avatar. Even in Telugu A Centers, Avatar will surely affect Agent’s business. Perhaps it would be wise for Agent to either prepone the film or in the worst case, postpone the film.
Agent has been written by Vakkantham Vamsi and directed by Surender Reddy. It also stars veteran Malayalam actor Mammooty and newbie Sakshi Vaidya in prominent roles. HipHop Tamizha is the music director of the film.
