Gadar 2 starring Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel has set several records with its outstanding run at the box office. The movie has grossed over Rs 470 crore net in India before the end of its third week. In light of the film’s massive success, director Anil Sharma has announced his intention to send Gadar 2 to the Oscars and his team is preparing for the application procedures.
He informed the media that he was being repeatedly contacted by people to send the movie to the Oscars. He mentioned that Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, the first part did not go to the Academy Awards, and he has no idea how Gadar 2 will get there.
“But we are at it. Gadar 2 should go; the film is worthy of it. Gadar also deserved it. Gadar was based on the 1947 partition, and we told the story uniquely. It was a novel story, and Gadar 2 is also a novel story,’ he said.
Anil is content with receiving the love of the audiences and touching hearts with Gadar 2. “I won’t lie, but even we want awards,” he said. He is very certain that he won’t receive them because he hasn’t campaigned for them.
