It is very well known that Prabhas’ Adipurush was selected for Tribecca Film Festival, which had been scheduled between 7th – 18th June. It was also reported that there is a massive demand for Adipurush tickets for the premiers. Total three premier shows have been planned for this festival on 13th June, 15th June and 17th June. However, according to the reports, it is said makers have cancelled the premiers.
The makers of Adipurush have cancelled the 13th June premiere show as they thought the film would be released on 16th June, it is not an appropriate idea to have an early premiere because if the talk from show comes negative, then it may affect on the film’s collections and there is also a possibility of story and important scenes being leaked. The Other 2 shows will be screened as per the plan. Overall, we can say that the makers of Adipurush have taken the best decision by cancelling the early premier.
Because the teaser of Adipurush was heavily criticized by the critics and fans for the poor VFX work. But the trailer was successful in changing the impression of the audience with improved VFX. That is why Adipurush trailer got a whopping well over 100 million views on YouTube. This response has strengthened the confidence of the makers. So, they would want to continue this momentum rather than taking a risk by arranging an early premiere.
Adipurush is directed by Om Raut and produced on a massive scale by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles. Prabhas will be seen as Lord Ram, while Kriti Sanon appears as Janaki. Sunny Singh was plays the role of Lakshman and Deva Dutta Nage plays Lord Hanuman. Bollywood Actor Saif Ali Khan will be seen as Raavan.
The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam in theaters. Adipurush was initially slated to be released on August 11 last year. However, the makers shifted its release to January 2023, but again it was postponed because of the backlash came for the VFX and after getting things back right, they are coming in June.
