After the postponement of RRR and Radhe Shyam, it is being reported that Megastar Chiranjeevi’s Acharya is also differing its release. The film is scheduled to release on 4th February and has already faced multiple delays.
The rising cases in AP and Telangana are one of the main reasons behind it. As of now, a number of states have already imposed 50% restrictions with many imposing complete closures on theatres. Along with it, the unresolved ticket price issue in AP is another reason behind the delayed-release.
It is being expected that post Pongal, the AP government will also be imposing 50% restrictions. In such a situation, going for a release right after Pongal makes very little commercial logic. The Acharya team has considered all these factors and will now release the film only after the situation normalizes.
The Acharya recently release the Saana Kashtam song which received a positive response. The song has recorded 11 million + views so far and is rising the popularity charts. Just when the movie was building positive buzz, the news of Acharya postponed has come as a massive shock to all.
Acharya also stars Ram Charan, Pooja Hegde, and Kajal Aggarwal in prominent roles. Koratala Siva is the director of the movie, and Niranjan Reddy has produced the film. Mani Sharma is the music director of the movie.
