After scoring a solid hit with Shambhala, Aadi Saikumar is all set to make his Tamil debut in an upcoming film titled Pathu Naal Raja. The actor shared the first look on his X (Twitter) account earlier today, marking an exciting milestone in his career.
From Telugu Blockbusters to Tamil Cinema
Debuting in Telugu as the son of veteran actor Sai Kumar, Aadi started his career with a blockbuster like Prema Kavali, followed by another successful film, Lovely. After that, he faced many failures for years before scoring the comeback hit with Shambhala, which emerged as a sensational blockbuster at the box office.
Similar to how Manchu Vishnu made his Kollywood debut, Aadi Saikumar is now venturing into Tamil cinema, expanding his market reach beyond Tollywood.
Pathu Naal Raja – An Intense Bilingual Project
Pathu Naal Raja, the Tamil debut film of Aadi Saikumar, also stars comedian Sathish in another lead role, and it is a Telugu-Tamil bilingual project. Aadi has described it as an intense role, marking a departure from his usual commercial entertainers.
The film is directed by Guru Saravanan and promises to showcase Aadi in a never-seen-before avatar. The Telugu-Tamil bilingual format ensures wider reach across South Indian markets, following the trend of cross-industry collaborations.
Previously, Aadi expressed on Instagram in January his excitement to explore this new, intense role in the Tamil-Telugu bilingual project. With Tamil debuts becoming increasingly common for Telugu industry talent, Aadi Saikumar’s move represents another step in breaking regional barriers in South Indian cinema.
The first look has generated positive buzz among fans, who are eager to see Aadi in this new intense character. More details about the film’s release date and rest of the cast are expected to be announced soon.
