Aadarsha Kutumbam 2 Days Box Office: Decent Hold, Long Road Ahead

Venkatesh and Trivikram’s Aadarsha Kutumbam held decently at the box office on its second day. The family entertainer collected over ₹15 Cr gross worldwide on Day 2, taking its 2-day total to ₹35.7 Cr gross worldwide.

The Day 2 trend was mixed across markets. The film showed good growth in Telangana and the Rest of India, but in Andhra Pradesh and overseas, it couldn’t jump over its opening day numbers.

Overall, the hold is decent, but not the kind of jump a big family film usually sees on its first Saturday.

Aadarsha Kutumbam 2 Days Box Office Collections (Gross)

  • Telangana: ₹9.25 Cr
  • Andhra Pradesh: ₹10.75 Cr
  • AP & TS Total: ₹20 Cr
  • Karnataka: ₹3.1 Cr
  • Rest of India: ₹1.1 Cr
  • Total India: ₹24.2 Cr
  • Overseas: ₹11.5 Cr
  • Worldwide Total: ₹35.7 Cr

Andhra Pradesh Leads, Telangana Grows

Andhra Pradesh is the film’s biggest market so far with ₹10.75 Cr gross, but it stayed flat on Day 2. Telangana, with ₹9.25 Cr, showed better growth and is closing the gap.

Karnataka has been a good support with ₹3.1 Cr gross in two days, which is a good number for a Telugu family film.

Overseas Needs to Pick Up

Overseas has brought in ₹11.5 Cr gross so far, which is a big share of the total. But with no jump on Day 2, the film needs strong weekend numbers abroad to keep its run going.

Sunday Is the Big Test

All eyes are now on Day 3. Sunday needs to be the film’s biggest day so far, and the target is at least ₹55 Cr gross worldwide for the opening weekend.

The Break-Even Challenge

The bigger worry is the break-even target. Aadarsha Kutumbam needs around ₹125 Cr gross worldwide to break even. After two days, the film has recovered only about 29% of that, and still needs close to ₹90 Cr more.

Even if the weekend reaches ₹55 Cr, the film will need a very strong hold through the weekdays and the coming weeks to reach the break-even mark. As of now, the numbers aren’t good enough against the target.

The Family Audience Factor

Venkatesh’s films usually draw family audiences, who tend to turn up later in the run rather than on opening day. Word of mouth will decide whether Aadarsha Kutumbam can pick up from here.
