Rather unfortunately, a fake death rumor was circulated about the actress and politician, Divya Spandana on social media today. The Tamil Nadu Congress clarified that Divya Spandana was still alive and fine hours after social media reported her death.
Tamil Nadu Congress, in a tweet, said, “Our beloved former Social Media Chairperson Divya Spandana is ABSOLUTELY FINE. Rumors and some TV channel news are 100% WRONG.”
On X (Formerly Twitter), several posts and images were shared of the actress, stating that she had passed away due to cardiac arrest. The news caused confusion among her fans and well-wishers. Some believed in them, while some did not.
Divya Spandana, who is also known as Ramya, quit films 10 years ago to pursue a career in politics. For the past decade, she has been a member of Congress and has been serving the party. She did a cameo in the recent Kannada blockbuster movie, Hostel Hudugare Bekagiddare.
