After the pandemic, 2022 can be considered as the golden year for Telugu Film Industry as all the top heroes movies got released in the first half itself. At the start of the year, there was pandemic scare but it settled down and all the movies got lined up for release. While all of this is well, this year was an opportunity for so many upcoming directors to prove themselves. How did it go?
Bheemla Nayak, Radhe Shyam and Acharya
Let us see how the year was for all the directors out there. Bheemla Nayak can be considered as the first big film that released in this year. The movie was decent at box office but Trivikram got the entire credit, audience didn’t even knew the director’s name. Then comes, Radhe Shyam. Director Radha got a big chance, Pan-India star Prabhas gave him an opportunity which eventually went down the drain.
The movie was utter failure at box office and disappointed everyone. Radha not just wasted a great opportunity, the disastrous result has affected his career too. Now, the already proven star director Koratala Siva came with the mega duo- Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan. This was the immediate movie of Ram Charan after huge success of RRR but it fell flat. This is the first flop for Koratala Siva. It affected him financially and his market went down too.
Sarkaru Vaari Paata & F3
Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata became a hit but it doesn’t have any notable impact on Parsuram’s career. Fans and audiences weren’t completely satisfied with the movie. According to them, it was an average movie with a pretty flat story line and Mahesh’s performance.is the only reason for it to stand out.
Anil Ravipudi also got a mixed result at box office for his movie- F3. Ante Sundaraniki was an average movie without much of an impact on Vivek Atreya, Pakka Commercial is a disaster at box office and Maruthi has disappointed people.
This way, first half of 2022 wasn’t that good for any director apart from Rajamouli. Let us see how the second half will be.
