2018 Movie [Malayalam] collections are dropped with OTT announcement

Malayalam survival thriller 2018 which has emerged as a massive blockbuster all over is on a record-breaking spree not just in Kerala but in other territories as well. The Telugu version of 2018 movie was released in Telugu states following amazing feedback for the Malayalam version and has been performing very well here as well. The film has already achieved all-time blockbuster status in Mollywood.

While the film is having a great time at the box office, the sudden announcement of its OTT release in June has put a break on the film’s box office streak. The decision to release the film on OTT so early has definitely hampered the collections.

2018 Movie OTT streaming date was announced officially by Sony Liv which streaming from the 7th of June. The movie has a blockbuster run till OTT’s announcement in the past few days the film has dropped in collections and theatre owners are not happy with this.

The film features a massive ensemble cast comprising Tovino Thomas, Indrans, Kunchacko Boban, Aparna Balamurali, Vineeth Sreenivasan, Asif Ali, Lal, and Narain among others. Jude Anthony Joseph directed this film which was well appreciated for its thrilling elements and natural depiction of the 2018 floods.
