The flurry of release dates announcements yesterday have made the upcoming next months quite exciting for Tollywood. Starting from February end, the audience will see a star-studded lineup at the theatres with a bunch of big-budget blockbusters all set to release.
Bheemla Nayak is looking to release either on February 25th or April 1st. Along with it, there’s Prabhas’ Radhe Shyam which will release on March 11th. Following this, there is the much-awaited RRR on March 25th and KGF:2, Acharya, and F3 to bring an end to April. This blockbuster season is going to commence with Superstar Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata on May 12th.
The above Tollywood biggies have around 1000 crores of business riding on them. This is the combined business of these films and only for the Telugu version. It needs to be seen how this upcoming summer plays out and whether it is able to pull the industry out from the slump brought forth by Covid and lockdowns.
It is interesting to note that all these films have undergone multiple release date changes. In fact, SS Rajamouli’s RRR release date has been changed 5 times so far. In such a situation the makers of all the above Tollywood biggies are determined to put up a solid show.
