Word of mouth and reviews differ between the Hindi and Telugu audience for Animal

Animal shattering Bollywood records in its second weekend. With 21.5Cr on Friday in India, Animal registered the biggest second Friday for the Bollywood [Hindi language] box office, and today, it is also creating a record. Sunny Deol's Gadar 2 was the previous film to hold the record for the biggest 2nd Saturday figure with 31Cr net, and Ranbir Kapoor's Animal is expected to collect 37C+ net today, which is an all-time 2nd Saturday record net for Bollywood.

Animal movie’s word of mouth and reviews differ between the Hindi and Telugu audience. It is widely known that Bollywood Superstar Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal has been released today and opened to tremendous openings at the box office and mixed reviews from the Telugu audiences.

The Telugu audience word of mouth and reviews are at average — above average level for Animal movie, but the Hindi audience and critics gave unanimous positive reviews. This is not a new thing as Prabhas’s Saaho also did not work well for the Telugu audiences, but in Hindi, it worked well.

The same happened with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa as in Hindi, it was a massive blockbuster and in Telugu, it was an above-average grosser at the box office. This difference in the talk is due to different expectations.

That is why word of mouth and reviews were different between the Hindi and Telugu audience for Animal. It is a big positive for the Animal team because in Telugu, the stakes will easily recover as the hype is huge and bookings are excellent for the weekend, so this WOM is enough for them. Their man target is Hindi where the movie is receiving positive reviews which can give the movie a super strong box office run and may even register record numbers at the box office as well.
