It is very well known that legendary director’s Mani Ratnam’s Dream Project Ponniyin Selvan 1 broke all the records in Tamil language and emerged as an all-time industry hit for Tamil Cinema. The Tamil audience had taken this film as their pride and so eager to watch the film in theaters and when it was released on September 30th last year, they made the film a huge success.

However, there are many audiences who felt the movie should have done better in other languages. Ponniyin Selvan was released with decent buzz around it, but it got mixed talk in other languages and failed to create a big impact, which is now affecting the second part of the film.

Now Ponniyin Selvan 2 is set to be released on 28th April. The trailer which was released recently has failed big time to create the buzz again in other languages and even in the Tamil language it doesn’t have any superb craze. Now the question in everyone’s mind is whether the film can cross the collections of the 1st part or not.

Produced by Madras Talkies in association with Lyca Productions, Ponniyin Selvan 2 is all set to be released on April 28 worldwide.
