2 states is a famous Bollywood movie based on Chetan Bhagat novel. The movie in Hindi was a massive success, starting Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt. Remake of this movie in Telugu was planned with adivi sesh and Shivani Rajasekhar.
However, the remake has never taken off due to some internal issues. Sesh has been silent regarding this movie, though producer has been complaining about this delay and blamed The Hero. However, the actor has finally spoken about it.
In an interview with Idlebrain Jeevi, Sesh said interesting things about the issue. He didn’t like the script, so he had to junk the project. Also, he said that director didn’t know what he was doing. He even yelled at the actors on the sets, that’s why they scrapped the remake film because of the director’s arrogance, Sesh said.
The logic of Sesh is perfect here, since a bad movie would’ve ruined his image more than anything. His concern for the producers is also telling. If actors try to take this way, no misunderstandings will happen.
The Telugu remake of Two States was launched in 2019 with Adivi Sesh and Shivani Rajashekar in the lead roles. The film was to be directed by newcomer Venkat Reddy. It was launched with a lot of fanfare by producer MLV Satyanarayana.
But the movie was scrapped in between, and no one really knew what had gone wrong. Only after the latest information given by Adivi Sesh everyone came to know the actual reason behind the cancellation of the project.
