Superstar Mohanlal arrived this Christmas with his big-budget film Vrusshabha, released in Malayalam and Telugu, and the movie has turned into a shocking disaster at the box office. On its first day, the film failed to cross even ₹1 crore worldwide gross, making it one of Mohanlal’s weakest openings ever.
The film was promoted as a Pan-India spectacle, but it collapsed right from the start. Poor bookings led to a steep drop in shows and screens by Day 2, as audiences showed little interest. With no buzz and negligible ticket sales, there is hardly anything to track in terms of numbers.
What was expected to be a grand festive release has instead become an outright washout, with Vrusshabha heading toward a shocking, disastrous result from day one itself.
