Sree Vishnu‘s latest comedy entertainer Vishnu Vinyasam had a steady start at the box office despite receiving mixed reviews. However, the actor has now made a shocking revelation about the troubles the team faced before release.
Sree Vishnu’s Shocking Statement
During the success meet of Vishnu Vinyasam, Sree Vishnu dropped a bombshell. “Our film was leaked, and we were constantly blackmailed by the hackers. We had no option but to shoot rapidly and release at the earliest. Thanks to my producers for standing by me. I’ve done everything I can do for them,” the actor revealed.
Case Filed Against Hackers
Sree Vishnu confirmed that the leak originated from Chennai. A case has been filed against the people who blackmailed the producers. The outcome of the investigation is awaited.
Before release, Vishnu Vinyasam was supposed to clash with Sree Vishnu’s other film Mrithyunjay. The clash was avoided at the last minute due to the rushed production schedule caused by the leak.
Piracy Still Plagues Telugu Cinema
This revelation has sparked discussions on social media about the persistent problem of piracy in the Telugu film industry. A few months ago, Hyderabad police arrested Immadi Ravi, the admin of notorious piracy site iBomma. Many believed this would curb piracy for good.
However, the Vishnu Vinyasam incident proves that movie leaks and extortion continue to haunt filmmakers. The industry still faces significant challenges in protecting content before theatrical release.
