Producer SS Karthikeya has given a fresh update on Varanasi, S.S. Rajamouli’s next directorial venture starring Mahesh Babu , Prithviraj Sukumaran and Priyanka Chopra, confirming that the film’s shooting portions are almost complete.
“Everything Is Going Well as Planned”
Speaking on an AHA show, Karthikeya said: “We’ve started the shooting from last January and now it’s almost over. The entire shooting part will be completed by this October. Everything is going well as planned.”
A Massive Scale Production
Varanasi is mounted on a reported budget of more than 1000 crore, making it one of the most expensive films in Indian cinema history. The epic action-adventure is produced by K.L. Narayana and SS Karthikeya under Sri Durga Arts and Showing Business, with Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj Sukumaran in lead roles. The film is scheduled for release on April 7, 2027.
