Earlier, there was strong buzz in industry circles that the makers were aiming for a release by the end of March. But a new update suggests that Varanasi will arrive in summer only, but now, it is targeting April 9, 2027, as its release date, with Sri Rama Navami falling in the same week.

Mahesh Babu will also appear as Lord Sri Rama in the film, and many believe that Sri Rama Navami would be the perfect occasion for its release. The festival connection is seen as a major advantage for the movie.
