The Andhra Pradesh Police arrested Janasena party president Pawan Kalyan in preventive custody in the NTR district after a high drama unfolded late Saturday night, as the actor-turned-politician was lying on the road to protest against the police stopping his convoy at the Telangana-Andhra border.
Pawan Kalyan was going to his party office for a PCA meeting, but was arrested during a pre-dawn operation in Nandyala on Saturday. Initially, he attempted to reach Andhra by airway, but Krishna district police ensured that his special flight to Gannavaram airport did not depart from Hyderabad.
The JSP chief decided to go by road, but his convoy was blocked twice in the NTR district on Saturday, because of which Kalyan was forced to take a break from his vehicle and walk towards Mangalagiri in Vijayawada… Pawan Kalyan laid down and walked on the road at Anumanchipalli after being blocked from going towards Vijayawada.
