The TFEF (Telugu Film Employees’ Federation) call for the strike has become a big issue in the Telugu film industry for a few days. The latest update on the Tollywood Workers Strike is out now.

Unexpectedly, the Telugu Film Employees’ Federation called for a strike from Monday [4th August] with a demand for a 30% hike in wages. With this, the film’s shooting got halted, and a few big movies faced issues. Also, the union members are out to cause physical violence if anyone does not follow their strike rule.

The producers’ version is that they are already paying higher salaries for workers compared to other industries, and a 30% hike will become a massive burden for them, as it would automatically increase the budget.

The latest update on the Tollywood Workers Strike is that the producers finally agreed to give a 10% hike in the wages of the workers.

However, the workers’ unions still stuck to their 30%, while the producers are not at all ready for such a huge hike. The issue is likely to be settled with a 10-15% hike in the wages of the workers.
