Three Milestones Fans Expect Jr. NTR To Crack With Devara!

Devara: Part One is a special project for Jr. NTR for multiple reasons; the most significant of those is the fact that it is the Young Tiger’s first solo release in six years. While the promotional content of the film received mixed reception, there is enormous buzz around it. The exceptional advance bookings at the overseas box office is a testament to that.

Having said that, this is the Nandamuri actor’s best chance to prove his box office potential, especially in the Nizam, Overseas, and Godavari territories for Telugu audiences. Before RRR, Tarak consistently delivered hit films but failed to achieve massive numbers like other stars in these regions. The first milestone Jr. NTR must target is bigger numbers in these territories

Admittedly, Tarak has yet to score a solo ‘100 crore share film’ under his belt. Other big stars like Ram Charan, Prabhas, Chiranjeevi, and Mahesh Babu had films enter this elite club even before Aravinda Sametha. Now, a 100 crore share is no longer a big target for him or Devara. To achieve breakeven, the film needs to collect more than a 150 crore share in the Telugu version. NTR must ensure this film enters the 150 crore share club in Telugu.

Last but not least, it is cracking the Hindi market. For those unaware, Bollywood is the biggest film fraternity in the country in terms of box-office potential. For that reason, having a market there is considered legendary. Till date, only two non-Hindi actors have cracked it: Prabhas and Allu Arjun.

With Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions distributing it, Devara will certainly have a wide release in North India. And of course, the presence of Janvhi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan is a huge plus. On top of that, Tarak is aggressively promoting this action drama among Hindi audiences. Considering these circumstances, the stage is set for Jr. NTR to crack the Hindi belt and emerge as the next ‘pan-Indian’ sensation. And you know what? We really hope he does!
