It is widely known that the sequel (Prequel) of Rishab Shetty’s blockbuster Kantara is in the works. The film’s shoot and release date have been revealed by the makers now. It has been reported that the shoot will commence in December of this year. It’s great news for those who loved the movie, as it has established a significant fan base across the nation.
According to the reports, the Kantara 2 shoot will commence in December. The film is being planned to be mounted on a larger scale than the first one, and Rishab is currently preparing for it. The shooting schedule is spread across multiple timelines, as there are a lot of action sequences to be expected in the second part. The film will be shot in three phases and is expected to finish in August 2024. ‘Kantara 2′ will mostly be shot in the country, and it is in planning to be released on Dasara 2024.
The makers revealed that Rishab Shetty has been going through extensive physical training for the second part of the film to be 100 percent fit for the role. The film’s script was locked in the first half of 2023
Rishab Shetty was not only the writer and director of the film, but also the main protagonist. As soon as it was released in Kannada, the movie started making all the right noises, and soon after, it was also released in Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Telugu languages and became a super successful film in all of them.
Vijay Kiragandur’s Hombale Films produced Kantara, a 2022 action-thriller film. The film was a major commercial success and became the second highest-grossing Kannada film of all time after K.G.F: Chapter 2, which was released in the same year. It was also 2022’s fourth highest-grossing film in India.
It’s noteworthy that Hombale Productions also submitted the film for consideration at the Oscars. Sapthami Gowda, Manasi Sudhir, Kishore, Swaraj Shetty, Achyuth Kumar, Vinay Bidappa, and Shine Shetty were among the cast members in the film.
