The producers of Prabhas’s The Raja Saab have applied for ticket price hikes from both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments and are currently awaiting approval. However, the proposed ticket prices in Telangana have shocked moviegoers.
The Raja Saab team has requested the following ticket prices in Telangana (including GST):
Premiere Show – January 8, 2026 (from 9 PM onwards)
- Single Screens: ₹943
- Multiplexes: ₹1,180
First Weekend – January 9 to January 11
- Single Screens: ₹301
- Multiplexes: ₹450
Festival Week – January 12 to January 18
- Single Screens: ₹250
- Multiplexes: ₹400
These ticket prices are considered extremely high. Given the recent developments and government stance on ticket hikes, it remains to be seen whether the Telangana government will approve “The Raja Saab” makers’ request for such exorbitant pricing.
The government of Telangana has already faced issues from the High Court for allowing big hikes in ticket prices for recent biggies like OG and Akhanda 2.
