The Raja Saab Seeks Ticket Price Hike Approval from AP Government

Prabhas' The Raja Saab team asks a flat ticket price of ₹1000 for premiere shows

As the release date approaches, the makers of Prabhas and Maruthi’s The Raja Saab have requested the Andhra Pradesh government to allow a flat ticket price of ₹1000 for premiere shows. They have also asked for a ticket price hike of ₹150 for single screens and ₹200 for multiplexes for the first 10 days of regular shows.

It is widely known that for all major Telugu films, producers usually seek ticket price hike permissions from the governments of both Telugu states. The makers of The Raja Saab have requested permission for ₹1000 flat pricing for the premiere shows, which are scheduled to be screened on the night of January 8.

The Raja Saab makers await government permission for ticket hikes

The Andhra Pradesh government is expected to grant permission without much difficulty. However, it remains to be seen whether the Telangana government will approve the request. Recently, Telangana’s Cinematography Minister, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, stated that the government would not allow any ticket price hikes or premiere shows.

As of now, the producers have requested the same ticket prices in Telangana as in Andhra Pradesh, and they are awaiting the government’s response. Even if permission is granted, it is expected that the government may approve lower prices than what the makers have requested.
