The final settlement between Vidaamuyarchi and Breakdown team has been finished. The makers of Ajith’s latest film Vidaamuyarchi did a big mistake by doing the remake of a Hollywood film without buying the rights to it. After much drama, the final settlement between Vidaamuyarchi and Breakdown team has been finished.
If the production house, Lyca Productions had bought the remake rights before starting the movie, they would have got them for a very less amount. However, the Vidaamuyarchi team made a mistake by not buying the rights and the producers of Breakdown stopped the film’s release at the right time and asked for a heavy price.
As said above, after a few negotiations, finally the settlement is done between both the parties. Vidaamuyarchi ‘s trailer was also released recently, with a theatrical release date of February 6, 2025.
Reportedly, Breakdown makers agreed to take an amount of 10 Cr and along with some percentage of the profit sharing from Vidaamuyarchi’s team. Certainly, this is again a huge price. A minor mistake costed crores for Lyca Productions.
