For a few days, there were so many rumors about the director of Thalaivar 173, and the makers shocked fans by informing them that Cibi Chakravarthy has been roped in to direct Superstar Rajinikanth.
From Vivek Atreya to Ramkumar Ramkumar Balakrishnan and Ashwath Marimuthu, many names were reported earlier to direct Rajini’s next, but in the end, a name that no one expected has been confirmed by the producers.
It is widely known that the film will be produced by Kamal Haasan under Raaj Kamal Films International. The makers also announced that the film will be released in theaters on Pongal/Sankranthi 2027.
