Dhanush did a Bollywood film after long years with Tere Ishk Mein, and the film was released yesterday, and it did very well in its main market, Hindi. The film has collected around 16 Cr net in India, which is the biggest number of Dhanush’s career.
Kuberaa, with 17 Cr+, and Raayan, with 16 Cr+, gross in India, are the top 2 numbers for Dhanush until now, but Tere Ishk Mein creates a new record for the actor with 19 Cr gross collections in India.
The film is trending very strong for the weekend, and the advances are very promising. The trade expects the film to register 50 Cr net in India on the first weekend and 100 Cr in the full run. No film of Dhanush has collected 100 Cr net in India, and Tere Ishk Mein has all the possibilities to do so.
Despite critics labeling AR Rahman’s music a mixed bag, the audience seems to have loved the songs, which have helped the film achieve a superb box office opening.
