Spirit, the film, marks the first-ever collaboration of Prabhas and Sandeep Reddy Vanga, and it produced a lot of hype with the announcement itself. There were strong rumors that the film would arrive in the theaters on Sankranthi in 2027, but Sandeep Vanga officially announced that Spirit is not a part of Sankranthi releases.
Sankranthi became the biggest slot for Telugu Cinemas, and many films started targeting it in recent years to get big collections at the box office. As said above, there was a huge buzz that Spirit would be one of the Sankranthi releases in 2027.
But the makers deny those rumors by officially confirming that the movie will be released on 5th March, 2027. It’s actually the best choice for film, as the Sankranthi slot does not suit Pan India films.
