The tale at the Box Office this weekend, tells a familiar story. A story of a King and the name of the King is Content. We have heard this phrase time and again, Content is King, but somehow it never gets old.

This weekend, we saw the release of 2 movies, one was a simple small-budget film Samajavaragamana. On the other hand, we also had a big-budget Pan-Indian film in the form of Spy.

Before the release, if you asked anybody, which film would you go to? The reply would be Spy because both the teaser and the trailer were very impressive. On the other hand, Samajavaragamana looked like any other comedy drama.

But, upon release, it was very clear, which film had the better content. Despite being a small film, it attracted crowds to the theatres. A major reason for this is also the premier shows that garnered rave reviews from the public.

Whereas, despite the aggressive promotions from the Spy team, the film only managed to only post impressive numbers on its opening day. In fact, Samajavaragamana has witnessed a huge jump in collections, whereas, Spy has witnessed a huge drop. So much so that, on Saturday, Samajavaragamana posted more collections than Spy.
