Kollywood film, Retro starring Suriya released recently and became a box office disappointment. The film secured a negative response among the audience and faltered on the opening day itself. The film also found it difficult to touch the 100 crore gross mark worldwide. But, shockingly, the team has exaggerated the box office numbers.
Usually, producers exaggerate these numbers by 20-30% than the actual numbers. But, as said, makers of Retro reported that the film grossed more than 235 crores worldwide. They mention that this number includes both Theatrical and Non-theatrical revenue in small letters. This poster is going viral now for its exaggeration.
This explains the team’s desperation to prove that Retro became a blockbuster, which in reality has not. So much so that in Tamil Nadu alone, another film, Tourist Family, has overtaken Retro’s numbers.
