A sudden fire broke out in the key commercial area of Ameerpet in the city, creating panic among locals and students. The incident took place in an apartment building at Maitrivanam, where flames quickly spread across the premises.
At the time of the accident, a large number of students were reportedly present in a coaching centre operating inside the apartment. As the fire spread rapidly, several students were unable to come out immediately and were briefly trapped inside.
Police rushed to the spot as soon as they received information about the incident. With the help of local youth, they risked their lives to safely evacuate the students from the building. The students were shifted to safer locations, helping avert a major tragedy.
Fire department personnel arrived at the scene with two fire engines and are working hard to bring the flames under control. Preliminary reports suggest that a short circuit may have caused the fire. More details about the incident are awaited.
