Ace director Shankar has been embroiled in one controversy after another in recent times. First, it was Lyca Productions who took him to Madras High Court over non-compliance over Indian 2. Next came another shocker from Ascar Ravichandran, the producer of 2005 blockbuster Anniyan. Ascar claimed that the rights of Anniyan belonged to him and that Shankar has no right to go ahead with the Hindi remake that he had earlier announced with Ranvir Singh.
These controversies have made a mess of Shankar’s schedule and have put serious question marks over RC15. Producer Dil Raju had confirmed earlier that the schedule will start in July. But with Madras High Court directing Shankar and Lyca Productions to sort the differences, there is a high probability that Shankar might opt to finish Indian 2 before moving on to RC15. This might result in a much bigger delay than expected in RC15 going on sets.
Meanwhile, Charan is currently busy SS Rajamouli’s RRR and Koratala Siva’s Acharya. A film with Sukumar is also under plans which will go on floors once the duo is free of commitments.
Sukumar is currently busy with Allu Arjun’s Pushpa. Post Pushpa, he will then move on to an untitled love story with Vijay Devarakonda which he is aiming to finish in 4-5 months. This will be a relatively smaller film in terms of budget and scale.
