Director Shankar is all set to revive his career with Velpari, his dream project, which is also a franchise film with 3 parts. He is widely known as the renowned filmmaker from South Indian Cinema but recently faced two big failures with Indian 2 and Game Changer.
According to the reports, Shankar has already completed script work for the entire Velpari franchise, his dream project and after a little struggle, he is said to have finally found the producer for this big, spectacular project. Pen Movies is said to be producing this mega project on a record budget.
Shankar is said to be discussing this project with a Tamil Big Hero. Once the discussion is over and the cast is finalized, the film will have an official announcement. The plan is to start the shoot in June 2026.
Shankar Shanmugham is known for massive projects and delivering big successes, but as said above, he has seen a couple of big failures in recent times. So, he needs to learn from those mistakes and not repeat them in his dream project, as it involves a huge budget.
