From Chiranjeevi to Sharwanand, five major films are gearing up to enthrall viewers on different OTT platforms. Interestingly, two of these films are set to release on the same OTT platform. Here are the details of the OTT streaming platforms for Sankranti 2026 releases.
The Raja Saab – The First Sankranthi Release, will it be the first one to hit the OTT platforms?
The first film to enter the Sankranti 2026 box office race was The Raja Saab. This horror-comedy fantasy thriller stars Rebel Star Prabhas along with Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar. Directed by Maruthi, the film was released in theatres on January 9. The film is expected to stream in the first week of February. The OTT streaming rights of the film been acquired by Jio Hotstar.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu and Bhartha Mahasayulaku Wignyapthi will arrive on the same OTT platform
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, a family comedy-drama starring Megastar Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film connected well with family audiences and was released on January 12. It is currently performing exceptionally well at the box office and setting collection records.
The well-known Zee Group has acquired both the OTT and satellite rights of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu. The film will stream on Zee5, while its television premiere will take place on Zee Telugu. Reports suggest that the OTT release may happen around Valentine’s Day in February.
The film Bharta Mahashayulaku Vignapti has also sold its OTT rights to Zee5. According to industry buzz, the movie is expected to start streaming in the second week of February. Anaganaga Oka Raju, starring Naveen Polishetty, has its OTT rights bagged by the global giant Netflix. The film is likely to premiere on Netflix in the first week of March.
Finally, Nari Nari Naduma Murari, which is being praised as a perfect Sankranti entertainer, has been acquired by Amazon Prime Video. The film was reportedly sold for a good price. Like most Telugu films, it is expected to arrive on OTT about four weeks after its theatrical release.
