Movie: Rules Ranjann
Rating: 2/5
Cast: Kiran Abbavaram, Neha Shetty, Meher Chahal, Vennela Kishore
Director: Rathinam Krishna
Produced By: Divyang Lavania, Murali Krishna Vemuri
Release Date: 6th October 2023

Story: Manoranjan (Kiran Abbavaram) comes to Mumbai to work as a software engineer. He has his own set of rules, either in the office or in his life. On one day, he meets Sana (Neha Shetty), whom he loved since college and spends an entire day happily, but he misses her contact and a small break comes in their relationship. After that, Ranjan decided to go to his own village and the rest of the story is how he reunites with Sana and convinces her family to marry.

Performances: Kiran Abbavaram was fine in the title role. He was able to provide entertainment in some scenes and that’s it. Neha Shetty, the sensational heroine, does not have much to do except for looking cute and sizzle in Sammohanuda Song. Vennela Kishore provided some laughs while, Hyper Aadi, Viva Harsha, and Sudarshan were ok… Ajay, Goparaju Ramana, and Subbaraju got wasted in insignificant roles.

Positives:

  • Few Comedy Scenes/Dialogues
  • Sammohanuda Song

Negatives:

  • Outdated Plot
  • Tiresome Narrative
  • Forced Comedy
  • Silly Climax

Verdict:

Rules Ranjann is an out-and-out badly made movie with a dated love story and even more outdated comedy, and a farcical climax. Except for a few comedy scenes and Sammohanuda Song, the film fails to impress or engage.
